The mill is in the heart of one of Australia’s historic wool and textile regions, at the original site of the Geelong Returned Sailors and Soldiers Woollen and Worsted Cooperative Manufacturing Company, established in 1920.
Houndsome has collaborated with the Geelong Weaving Mill team to produce our exclusive range of Patty blankets and pure wool fabric for our Duncan sportcoats. Woven from surplus wool yarn leftover from commercial production, our Houndsome check fabrics are made from Australian certified eco wool. As a part of its ongoing best practice in sustainably across all sourcing and manufacturing processes, the Mill works closely with its suppliers to ensure traceability of all yarn stock.
